Fall Floral Birthday Card

Fall Floral Birthday Card

October 5, 2023

I found myself needing birthday cards, and wanted to make something special for an especially dear friend. I pulled out some supplies from The Greetery and Pinkfresh Studio to get started. I used The Greetery Fresh Floral stamp and stencil set to create the design on 110# white cardstock. I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Ornate Banner die to cut out the floral panel. I found a sentiment that wouldn’t cover up too much of the background - sadly, it’s now retired. It was in the Papertrey Ink Topiary Trio stamp and die set from several years ago. I heat embossed the sentiment in black and framed it with orange cardstock matching the card front. After adhering the sentiment to the card, I added some yellow glitter dots for some bling.

I’ve been working on using scraps and older stamps/stencils/dies that I have to make new cards. Since I’ve been retired, I’ve been able to watch some cardmaking videos to get inspiration on using scraps. It’s been really encouraging and enlightening to see how other cardmakers are so creative in their use of supplies and scraps!.

I’m also continuing to learn about this thing called “blogging”!! I’m getting there! It’s been good brain exercise for me. Thank you for reading my posts and joining me on this new journey! Blessings to all!
